深圳會展中心由深圳市政府投資興建，委托深圳會展中心管理有限責任公司經營，於2004年正式投入使用。
深圳會展中心地處福田中心區，是深圳市最大的單體建築，占地6萬6千多坪，總建築面積8萬4千七百多坪，東西長540公尺，南北寬282公尺，地面以上最高處達60公尺，地上6層，地下2層，鋼骨結搆體。
由於是精華地段，大大小小的各類展會不定期展出，距離福田、皇崗口岸距離很近，周遭各類餐飲辦公大樓林立，是深圳地標之一。
